Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Gart Brooks, Tim McGraw, Sara Evans, Kenny Chesney and Martina McBride. What do all of these Superstars have in common other than the fact that they have all reached the top of the music charts? The all have everything they need except for...great songs. When they get ready to cut a new CD, they begin the search for their next hit song(s). And that's where you as a songwriter come in. Although these days many artists, like Taylor Swift, write their own material, these artists I've mentioned here, and many others, all turn to outside songwriters for at least a portion of the material they record.
Songwriting Nashville Style is where you can develop into the kind of songwriter who can write songs good enough to be pitched to these artists for their next CD project. There are many things to learn along the way. Here we will talk about not only the craft of songwriting, but also things like how to pitch songs to people in the music industry, how to demo your songs, co-writing songs, working with musicians aand much, much more. Next time I will post the first article about getting ideas for songs. I think you may be surprised, so please come back often and lean what's new at Songwriting Nashville Style. See ya then.
